I know! It’s not what you think. I’m not going to give you 3 tips on how to increase your follow on Instagram, so keep reading!
I had a late start this morning and slept a little bit longer (I don’t know you, but I love when that happens). Anyway, I opened the Spotify app on my phone and I went to look for a song I woke up with in my mind, pressed play and started to make a coffee.
After the song finished, I started getting more tunes from Spotify and to my surprise they were just perfect, one after the other. I was like “Wow, I love this one!” and “Nooo, this one is one of my favorite!”. I started to move and smile.
The day started splendidly with this soundtrack as I went on to tidy up the kitchen and down memory lane with all the nice memories of the times I must have listened to those songs or the people and moment they reminded me of. MAGIC!
I thought, JEEZ! This algorithm is MAGIC. It knows exactly what I needed today!
I think this is pretty much what happens when we start to make time for ourselves and really get to know ourselves more. When we know what we like, what it is that makes us happy, healthy, fulfilled, what matters the most for us in life, which might, BY THE WAY, be completely different to what most people want. When we start listening to our body and observe our thoughts a bit more and we make choices in tune with what both our unique mind and body really need to make us thrive.
Just like the Spotify algorithm, the more we feed it with information about what we want and what we really like, the more our own algorithm will begin to serve exactly that. However, it doesn’t happen from day one, does it? At first we might get tunes we don’t like at all or we feel like: “Meh! How am I listening to this? Let me skip!”, until the tunes’ feed slowly starts to speak more and more to our ears.
That’s when our life algorithm starts working in tune with who we are and what we need, guiding us, just like a compass, to engage in those routines, actions, attitudes and mindset that serves us best.
* What are you feeding your inner algorithm with?
* Are you feeding it with thoughts and actions that serve you well?
* What would you like your “life playlist” to look like? And what actions can you start taking to make it sound exactly that way?
“Woman” by John Lennon was one of the amazing tunes in this morning feed.
I choose it for all the amazing women reading here. But also, for any man here who can speak to the women in their life using words like these.
Have all a doo, doo, doo, doo Sunday! 🙂
