Are you trying to change everything at once?

June 22, 2020

Have you ever made the decision to change your lifestyle because you disliked your body and found yourself wanting to change all your routines at once?

Something like trying to juggle in between cooking each single meal from scratch, drink 2 litres of water a day, go to the gym 4/5 times a week for an hour while working, counting calories, doing the school runs, counting calories again, meeting friends and the hundreds of other things you can possibly cram into a day.

If you’ve run out of breath simply trying to read this last question you get the idea of how is feels. It’s exhausting 😩

A gateway to disaster

Trying to change all routines and believing that by doing this you get fast results can seriously turn out to be a gateway to disaster.
🤹🏻‍♀️The juggling just feels so big and so overwhelming, your body and your mind can’t cope with it. You don’t know how to keep going, so you shut the door, and keep on eating. And keep giving out at your body. You give-up. And nothing changes.

Closing that door doesn’t mean that the problem, all at once, disappears.

I hear you though. I closed the door many times in the past, just pretending the problem wasn’t there for a while, to then come back and give it another try. Fail again and retry. It’s exhausting! Isn’t it?

I strongly believe that all the things that didn’t work in the past lead to the one that works. But that good doesn’t happen because you eventually bump into a magician who gives you the secret potion 🧙‍♀️

When you are ready change happens

It happens because YOU, and only you, are ready and committed to change.
YOU are ready to switch from a weight-loss mindset fixated on a number, to a self-care and health-promoting mindset. A mindset that gently and naturally brings you to take care of your body in many little ways, with no rush but consistently, day after day. Much more effective than trying to change all your routines at once.

That switch in your mind feels like a warm and cozy blanket someone puts on your shoulders on a cold rainy day. Now, how does that feel?

In my 1:1 coaching program I could be telling you to take step 1, 2 and 3 and that it’s the secret potion. I could.

But I prefer to hold your hand and help you find a blanket for yourself.
A cosy and warm one.

How is this possible? I hold the space for you to look into yourself and get 100% clear on the root cause of you not feeling good with your body and wanting to look different. Only then, we can start working on the solutions, identifying the right steps for you.
The solutions, the nurturing habits will then come, little by little, more naturally.

Have a great mindful day🌷
