The mantra that represents my 2020:
Be not afraid of growing slowly,
be afraid of standing still.
– Chinese Proverb
It’s certainly one I want to bring with me into the new year just around the corner.
What is yours?
2020 has been a year of great change for me.
After leaving my office job, I finally decided to set my own business and who would’ve thought The Mindful Body was going to be born and learn to walk its first steps during a pandemic!
2020 has taught me in many different ways to focus on improving and growing at my own pace. And that slow consistent progress is way better than no progress.
Tiny consistent steps
So day after day, like a ‘mindful busy bee’, I’ve taken tiny consistent steps with my bag of wishes, experiences, aspirations.
I ventured outside my comfort zone and my own fears, especially the fear of failing, of looking inadequate and yeah, the classic fear of ‘not being good enough”. Because, to a different extent, we all have that same fear inside us!
A lot of good things have come for me from taking those tiny consistent steps, leaving me sometimes surprised at how things can sometimes unfold differently from my expectation and still bring such goodness. Despite the Covid-19, the lockdowns, and the many other challenges this year has brought for all of us.
My wish for you
💝My greatest wish for all of you in this new year is this:
That if you have an idea, wish, project, desire, intention, change you long for inside you, you’ll keep watering it like a seed, growing it at your own pace, taking those tiny steps up the staircase of your most meaningful life.
It will be nice and exciting to see how things unfold!
And maybe, who knows, we might walk some of that journey together, side by side, at some point.
I want to take this opportunity to thank from the bottom of my heart each and everyone who has been part of The Mindful Body Community for the warm support throughout 2020 🙏
Here’s to more opportunities to connect and learn from each other in the year just about to start!!
Wishing a Happy and Mindful New Year,
With much love,
