Ever considered working on your wellbeing goals with a coach?
I want to give you three very important reasons to do it now.
Have a read below!
💭A coach will help you focus on the cause, not the symptom
Think about when you get a toothache. You can keep taking painkillers for weeks or months, but if you don’t address the root cause with a dentist, the pain will keep coming back.
When you work on the cause you get long-lasting results. When you only work on the symptom you might get temporary results but sooner than later you’ll go back to the starting point. Rings a bell?
Working to heal your relationship with food is no different.
Identify the reason why you’re eating anything your eyes can catch is key!
Instead of focusing on the symptom, the extra calories, by giving you a diet or exercise plan, I help you focus on When, How, Why you’re eating more than your body is comfortable with. This way we fully understand why you eat more than your body needs most days, and we work on that to have you achieve your wellness goals.
✅A coach will help you make achieve and maintain sustainable results
When I work with my clients I want them to build self-care routines that become part of their life, that are enjoyable and in line with their interests. There’s no space for restrictive and strict food rules, which you already know, you’ll find hard, if not impossible, to follow in the long run.
It’s very common to fear that giving up dieting and restriction will undermine your health, because many of us have been raised with a diet mentality.
When you start working on your wellbeing goals with a coach, you overcome the worry that if you let go of the rules, restrictions, and diet mentality, you’ll end up gaining weight (or staying at a higher weight). Because none of this is true.
Good health is about self-care, NOT self-control, and definitely NOT about weight.
🙌 A coach will help you overcome resistance, setbacks and will hold a space for the change to happen
I think we all agree that change is difficult; especially when we experience setbacks we tend to give up so it’s important to seek professional help to back you when needed.
Self-help books can certainly help, but sometimes we need more than that to keep us focused on what’s most important for us. Most clients find it lifechanging to work in a safe space where they can feel heard, share their struggles for the very first time and gain clarity on behaviours and beliefs that are holding them back.
